About the job
Geospatial COE is a specialized unit within NielsenIQ Route to Market (RTM). The unit specializes in bringing together consumer demography, macro-economics, and geo-spatial analysis to develop solutions for our clients. The Analyst will be involved in projects from an end-to-end perspective. His/her primary responsibilities will be to understand client briefs from internal stakeholders, help senior stakeholders to identify the right analytic solutions that will answer client questions, carry out iterations of the analyses as needed, execute them error-free and deliver results internally and help build power- point presentations for compiling analyses insights. As the Analyst grows in experience, the profile will require that he/she starts carrying out the above tasks independently.
Responsibilities
· Gain a detailed understanding and develop expertise in existing syndicated databases & analytical solutions.
· Carry out multiple standard/non-standard analyses to help deliver quality results.
· Interpretation of statistical data, graphical & geo-spatial analysis.
· Execute analyses error-free and on time
· Always look out and experiment with different techniques/methods to improve existing solutions.
· Help in developmental work and exploratory studies by carrying out analyses as planned.
About you
The Candidate should be comfortable with handling and analyzing data to create insights. He/she should be able to effectively communicate the analysis with internal stakeholders. Working with and as a team is a crucial part of this role.
Qualifications
● Postgraduate in either Quantitative Economics, Statistics or Mathematics field
● 0 to 2 years of experience
● Hands on with data processing/programming tools- R/Python/Stata
● Statistical Knowledge- understanding of statistical techniques like Regression and distinct types, exploratory technique such as factor and cluster analysis
● Knowledge of geospatial visualisation tools such as Open-Source GIS Suite, Q-GIS
would be an advantage.
● Have good analytical and problem solving skills.
● Good communication and team working skills
