About this job:
In this role you will become part of the Global Operations Transformation (GOT) team that develops new ideas and prototypes aimed at automating operational processes. You will work on building, maintaining and testing solutions for NIQ operations worldwide. 

As part of the team, you will work in agile methodology delivering working solutions that address a particular business need. In addition, you will ensure the critical customer and operational requirements are translated into technology.  

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and maintain efficient and secure SQL code for our database systems. 
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support various business requirements. 
• Provide support and mentorship to the junior team members 
• Analyze database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions. 
• Identify and troubleshoot database-related issues, ensuring timely resolution. 
• Develop and maintain documentation for database design, processes, and procedures. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements. 
• Follow best programming principles as to code documentation, versioning, testing etc 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field. 
• Proven experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar role. 
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems (DBMS). 
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. 
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. 
• Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles. 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Curiosity and continuous improvement mindset. 

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud-based data warehouse technologies - Snowflake (preferred), BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse) 
• Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools. 
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
