We are looking for Data Scientists to support the process of reinventing the way we measure how people shop, both online and in-store. Be part of the exciting journey to transform our panel measurement business. 
 

In this role you work as part of Data Science being the SPOC (single point of contact) for Australia, engaging with in-market and global teams on bringing our Australia Omni-shopper product alive, keep it stabile and ensure the ongoing quality performance of the product. You will own, coordinate, and engage in all end2end Data Science aspects, such as data ingestion, data processing, validation, projection, output quality, client queries, and global prototype enhancement. In the role of the Data Science SPOC you will manage stakeholders, coordinate all Data Science related work and be the guardian of quality for the Australian product. 


Responsibilities

  • Join an international team in a flexible working environment with focus on remote team engagement. 
  • Live agile ways of working and application of agile tools. Be stakeholder manager and project coordinator of Data Science aspects. 
  • Be the Data Science owner, driver, and communicator of our AU Omnishopper product. 
  • Evaluate current methodologies and identify opportunities for enhancement (input data cleaning, data preparation methodologies, data quality tracking, consumer projection) 
  • Present and communicate findings and recommendations based on research and analysis 
  • Review end to end validation/projection performance indicators in connection to the product quality 
  • Support production deployment of proposed enhancements/new solutions. 
  • Support documentation of findings, methodologies, and best practices including trainings  
  • Take decisions and make proposals that impact the Australian business and pave the path for the product future locally and globally 

Qualifications

  • University degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Socio-economics or other related field  
  • With at least 3 or more years’ experience in FMCG / Retail / Consumer Research or any related industry. 
  • Some basic knowledge of the Australian market including a location in a close time-zone such as Australia itself or Asia 
  • Knowledge of/ Interest in consumers and their behaviours and (un-)managed consumer related crowdsourced panels or any receipt collection methodologies. 
  • Strong aptitude for data analysis with basic knowledge of statistics, including the ability to manipulate, analyse and interpret large data sources. 
  • Working knowledge of Python; esp. in the area of data cleaning, root cause analysis and visualization. 
  • Experience with SQL, working with queries and large-scale databases 
  • Strong time management and coordination skills 
  • Project management experience including the skill to keep the end2end overview 
  • Excellent communication/writing skills, strong analytical thinking and demonstrated experience handling stakeholders of different levels and different business areas.
