As part of the Data Science team within BASES, Diagnostic Consulting supports our internal clients with robust statistical analyses and expert consulting. The team is continuously refining and developing solutions, leveraging our strong technical expertise combined with a core understanding of our clients’ needs.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Analyst, you can expect your daily responsibilities to include the following:
- Proficiently execute standard statistical analyses, using statistical software and proprietary tools
- Draw actionable and relevant recommendations based on data evidence
- Use software/syntax editor to perform advanced or custom statistical analyses
- Commit to fully accurate deliverables that are visually appealing to clients
- Create relevant documentation of processes, tools and results
- Maintain transparent communication with clients, manager and peers
As your career progresses, you will be able to use your data science knowledge to help expand our portfolio of solutions, support efforts to automate and build strong partnerships with clients. You will help develop new tools and services, working as an individual or as part of a cross-functional team.
About you
You continuously leverage statistical methodologies, tools, and analyses that can be translated into actionable recommendations for our clients. You thrive in a fast-moving Global environment that relies heavily on collaboration.
Requisitos
- Graduate degree in Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics or a related field
- Experience applying and interpreting statistical techniques and data mining (such as Factor Analysis, Regression methods, Machine Learning, etc.) on academic or independent research projects, or experience addressing business situations in any industry
- Ability to complete complex analyses with moderate supervision.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong oral and written communication, including ability to articulate technical concepts in a non-technical manner
- Fluid English, written and spoken
- Knowledge of programming languages and profound interest in developing automated routines that execute supervised and unsupervised models.
- Proficiency in at least one statistical software, such as SPSS, R, Python, etc.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Marketing, Finance or a related field
- Ability to implement theoretical knowledge while keeping in mind business goals and strategy
- Experience with marketing research concepts and principles
