Are you ready to discover the role of a Telecom and Data Centre Consultant in Netcompany?
As a Telecom and Data Centre Consultant, you will:
- Conduct strategic architecture and technology studies for telecom and data centre environments, considering business and user requirements.
- Define, prepare, and execute technical tests, proofs of concept, and technology evaluations to validate proposed architectures, solutions, and technologies.
- Perform capacity planning and forecasting based on historical usage, expected growth, performance requirements, and business demand.
- Develop technical specifications, architecture documents, and implementation requirements, and support the technical evaluation and quality assessment of supplier and service-provider offers.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise technology migrations and deployments, ensuring continuity of services, risk management, quality assurance, and compliance with technical requirements.
- Assess the performance, reliability, and operational quality of telecom, data centre, and information-system solutions, identifying improvement opportunities and providing technical recommendations.
- Support information-system engineering activities, including database implementation, configuration and customisation, prototyping, programming, testing, quality control, technical support, documentation, and user assistance.
- Assess training needs, develop training materials and courses, deliver training sessions to technical and operational teams, and evaluate training effectiveness and results.
Qualifications
What would make you a fit for the role:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong expertise in network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), with hands-on experience in Ansible, NetBox, GitLab CI/CD, Python, automated provisioning, configuration management, compliance, and network backup solutions.
- Proven experience in enterprise and data centre networking, including data centre switching, SDN, network virtualisation and orchestration (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T), campus and wireless networks, NAC/RADIUS, and enterprise SD-WAN and VPN solutions.
- Strong knowledge of routing, core network services, and cloud networking, including BGP, OSPF, multicast, anycast, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, NTP/PTP, network management, telemetry, monitoring, and analytics, with experience in AWS and/or Azure networking.
- Solid expertise in network and application security, including enterprise firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPN and secure access technologies, load balancing, SSL offloading, reverse proxies, secure web gateways, WAF, DDoS protection, and API security.
- Experience with network operations, orchestration, security compliance, fault and performance management, monitoring, and event analysis, using technologies and platforms such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Aruba, Splunk, NetScout, IP Fabric, Fortinet, and Check Point.
