Would you like to be a driving force in positioning Netcompany as a leading European knowledge hub in digital transformation, competitiveness, and growth? Do you have strong expertise in economics and societal analysis? If so, you might be our new Chief Economist in a new initiative focusing on analysis, strategy, and insights.

Tasks

You will be responsible for continuously developing, publishing, and communicating analyses, reports, and white papers that examine how digitalisation, data, and technology impact productivity, competitiveness, and the broader European economy. Your work must stand on its own as independent contributions, while also serving as a strategic foundation for Netcompany’s advisory services, solutions, and partnerships.

At Netcompany, you will take on a central and highly visible role in an organisation shaping digital societies. You will operate close to senior leadership, reporting directly to Ulrik Vestergaard Knudsen, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, and engage with top decision-makers across the company and with clients. In this strategic position, you will influence Netcompany’s professional direction and drive our analysis and digital transformation agenda, while working in an environment defined by high expertise, fast-track decision-making, and significant impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and leading Netcompany’s analysis and knowledge agenda within digitalisation, competitiveness, and growth.
  • Preparing and publishing ongoing analyses, reports, and white papers with a clear European perspective.
  • Analysing economic effects of digitalisation, including productivity, the labour market, innovation and public efficiency.
  • Identifying economic and structural trends that are relevant for Europe’s and Denmark’s competitiveness.
  • Converting complex analyses and data into clear insights, recommendations, and decision proposals.

About you

We expect you to:

  • Have Hold a relevant academic background, e.g., a master’s degree in economics or similar
  • Have solid experience as an economist, chief economist, senior analyst, or similar – preferably from the consulting industry, interest organisations, ministries, or large organisations.
  • Have a strong understanding of economics, public finance, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Have experience with business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and profit realisation – especially in relation to digitalisation.
  • Communicate complex economic and analytical challenges clearly, accurately, and convincingly.
