A day in a life of a ETL Developer

As an ETL Developer at Netcompany-Intrasoft, you will be part of a dynamic, high-achieving, and collaborative Agile team. Your main responsibilities will include understanding the evolving data requirements of various business units and optimizing our data infrastructure to meet their needs. Leveraging your expertise in data warehousing and modeling, you will design and refine data pipelines to achieve maximum efficiency. Your expertise in coding, combined with ETL tool proficiency, ensures a smooth data journey. Regular problem-solving, supported by your SQL proficiency, will maintain data integrity. Additionally, effective documentation and teamwork are crucial aspects of your role.

Your main duties will be:

• Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities
• Gather requirements and business process knowledge in order to transform the data in a way that’s geared towards the needs of end users
• Maintain and improve already existing processes
• Ensure that the data architecture is scalable and maintainable
• Work with the business in designing and delivering correct, high quality data
• Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users and propose adequate solutions
• Prepare documentation for further reference

If you have…

• Knowledge of at least one coding language (Java, Python etc.)
• Proficiency in warehousing architecture techniques, including MOLAP, ROLAP, ODS, DM, and EDW.
• SQL knowledge (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.) as well as an understanding of database structure
• Knowledge of data modeling principles
• Knowledge of at least one ETL tool (SSIS, Informatica, Talend, etc.)
• Knowledge of various SQL/NoSQL data storage mechanisms and Big Data technologies
• Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly

It consider as a plus if you have...

• Knowledge of BI solutions such as TARGIT, Power BI and/or Easy BI
• Knowledge of ITSM Platforms such as JIRA and/or ServiceNow
