Business Development Manager F/M/X

(CDI)

 

We are currently looking for passionate people ready to make a difference in the following open position: Business Development Manager F/M/X, based in Lyon (7e).

In line with sales strategy and sales targets and under the direction of the Sales Director, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for sales growth and profitability for strategic accounts in a given area in Europe and grow the business in both products (Parenteral, Ophthalmic, Respiratory and ENTD -Ear Nose Throat and Dermal) and services (Design Research, Human Factor, Contact Development…).

 

Job Description :

 

  1. Prospection and Business Development

You will identify and develop new business across franchises both within and outside the current customer base through thorough market research, networking and including frequent customer visits and presentations, trade fairs etc as well as following up promptly on leads supplied by the leads development team.

You will prepare presentations, answer RFI/RFQ and manage costing and quoting recommendations professionally and comprehensively.

You will lead specific sales strategy for this market/region in close collaboration with line manager and marketing.

You will lead contract discussions by collaborating with Nemera’s Legal department and Customer / Prospects on contracts to ensure final approvals are processed efficiently internally and negotiate successful CDAs, development and supply contracts with customers to protect long-term business (optimize pass through mechanisms, termination rights, duration etc.)

 

  1. Key Account Management

You will develop and maintain relationships within all levels of the customers’ organizations.  In particular these will include purchasing, R&D, packaging development (technical), manufacturing and marketing and facilitating senior as well as operational contacts.

You will organize robust governance processes including participants, agenda and presentations on a regular basis.

You will develop and organize effective working relationships with NEMERA manufacturing facilities and project management teams in support of the customers.

You will manage margin improvement through price increases and/or identifying cost reduction opportunities.

Qualifications

So, what are we looking for?

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales or Marketing or another relevant discipline. 

You have a significant experience (ideally 5 to 10 years) in Sales / Account Management preferably in a complex and technical B2B industry.

Result oriented, you have strong analytical skills and a good understanding of financial, pricing and legal key drivers.

You know how to build trust & actively support the achievement of common goals across teams.

You engage with people through continuous participation, dialogue and compelling communication.

You can be direct as well as diplomatic during negotiations and demonstrate a good sense of timing.

You are known as an excellent listener, autonomous but also strong team player.

 

Languages:

Fluent in English. French is a plus.

For this position, some travel would be required, and we offer the possibility of working from home 2 days per week.
