The main objectives of the NLA are to conduct multidisciplinary basic and/or applied scientific research in the life sciences, energy, interdisciplinary and other fields of science, as well as activities to establish scientific laboratory, experimental bases, centers, institutes for the development and implementation of scientific, scientific and technical, educational programs and training of specialists.

Conducting preclinical studies; research and trainings on small and large laboratory (experimental) animals.

1) ensuring uninterrupted, fault-free and safe operation of the Facility's equipment and engineering systems; 2) keeping records of the Facility's equipment; creating and updating the equipment register indicating technical condition and due dates for maintenance, verification and calibration; 3) developing and implementing annual and monthly preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and engineering systems; 4) performing maintenance, adjustment and routine repair of equipment within the scope of competence; 5) monitoring the operation of individually ventilated cage (IVC) systems, biological safety cabinets and laminar flow cabinets, autoclaves, washing and sterilization equipment, automatic watering systems and other equipment of the Facility; 6) monitoring room microclimate parameters (temperature, relative humidity, air exchange rate, pressure differential, illumination and light cycle) and the operation of ventilation and air conditioning systems, and taking measures to eliminate identified deviations; 7) ensuring the functionality of monitoring and alarm systems, monitoring their readings and responding promptly to alarms; 8) identifying equipment faults, determining their causes and arranging their elimination in-house or with the involvement of service companies; 9) organizing and overseeing work performed by contractors and service companies, and controlling the scope, quality and timeliness of completed work; 10) organizing and controlling equipment verification, calibration and validation within the established deadlines; 11) ensuring safe operation of autoclaves and other pressure equipment, monitoring compliance with sterilization cycles and keeping the relevant records; 12) immediately informing the line manager of accidents, equipment failures and other incidents affecting animal housing conditions and research results, and participating in eliminating their consequences; 2 13) participating in developing and implementing measures for redundancy of critical equipment and emergency response plans; 14) maintaining technical and operational documentation (maintenance and repair logs, acts, equipment passports and logbooks, verification and calibration reports); entering data into the Facility's electronic records system in a timely manner; 15) participating in the development, implementation and updating of standard operating procedures, regulations and instructions for equipment operation and maintenance; 16) conducting briefings and training for Facility staff and researchers on the safe operation of equipment; 17) participating in the acceptance, installation, commissioning, relocation and decommissioning of equipment; checking its completeness and accompanying technical documentation; drawing up acts and completing the necessary documentation; 18) participating in planning the development of the Facility's infrastructure, including procurement of equipment, spare parts and consumables; preparing technical specifications and providing information for the procurement of goods, works and services; 19) ensuring compliance with the established SPF regime, biosafety and sanitary-epidemiological requirements during work in the Facility's premises; 20) participating in preparing information for monthly, quarterly and annual reports on the Facility's activities, and in preparing the Facility for internal and external audits and inspections; 21) timely and proper performance of other assignments of the line manager within the scope of competence

Higher technical (engineering) education. Additional training or certificates in servicing pressure equipment or laboratory equipment will be an advantage. Priority fields of specialization: - engineering; - mechanical engineering, operation and maintenance of equipment; - thermal power engineering, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); - electric power engineering and electrical engineering; - automation, instrumentation and metrology; - biomedical (medical) engineering.

Experience in the operation and maintenance of laboratory, medical or engineering equipment. Experience in planning and organizing preventive maintenance and repairs, and in working with service companies and contractors. Experience in accreditation of laboratories and/or medical institutions under quality management system 3 (QMS) standards and/or international standards (GLP, GMP, AAALAC). Experience working in a laboratory, vivarium or other controlled-environment facility (cleanrooms, barrier zones) will be an advantage. Experience in maintaining technical documentation and preparing technical specifications for the procurement of goods, works and services will be an advantage.

- knowledge of the operation and maintenance of laboratory, process and engineering equipment; - knowledge of the design, operating principles and operating rules of the Facility's equipment: individually ventilated cage (IVC) systems, biological safety cabinets and laminar flow cabinets, autoclaves, washing and sterilization equipment, automatic watering systems, anaesthesia and respiratory equipment, refrigeration equipment, ventilation and air conditioning systems, microclimate control devices, ASUD system, lowvoltage systems, process gas distribution system; - knowledge of the procedures for planning and performing maintenance, qualification, verification, calibration and repair of laboratory, medical and/or engineering equipment, and of the rules for keeping technical and operational documentation; - knowledge of sanitary-epidemiological, biosafety and biosecurity requirements for work in laboratory animal premises, including the rules for working in a barrier zone (SPF regime); - knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire and electrical safety standards and rules, and the rules for operating pressure equipment; - knowledge of the fundamentals of civil, corporate, financial, administrative and labour legislation; - skills in the operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory and engineering equipment; - ability to read technical documentation, diagrams and drawings, including in English; - knowledge of the operating principles of ventilation, air conditioning and microclimate control systems, as well as monitoring and alarm systems; - knowledge of the requirements for equipment verification, calibration and validation; - skills in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs); - skills in keeping technical and operational documentation and logbooks; - skills in organizing and supervising the work of contractors and service companies; - analytical and organizational skills; - teamwork; - business correspondence skills. - responsibility and discipline; - accuracy and attention to detail; - stress resistance; - ability to make decisions in non-standard and emergency situations; - initiative; - ability to multitask; - communication skills; - readiness to work a flexible schedule and to carry out work in emergency situations; - willingness to undergo regular training and learn new standards and rules.
