Job Description
The Computer Science Department at Nazarbayev University is seeking a highly qualified full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level to join its rapidly growing program in Computer Science and Computer Engineering in the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences. Applicants with research and teaching interests in Data Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence are also encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline from a reputable research university, and a demonstrated ability for research. All candidates must have excellent English-language communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching and research.
Position responsibilities include an average teaching load of two (2) courses per semester, ongoing engagement in relevant professional and research activities, student advising, and other activities related to the intellectual and cultural environment of the university.
Qualifications
- PhD degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field from a reputable university with a proven research track record. Previous experience in teaching and research grant management is desirable but not required.
