Job Description

Senior Manager of the Office shall perform the following job duties:

  • organization and coordination of the interaction of the Office with the central government bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, local executive bodies and Kazakhstani universities;
  • participation in the preparation of analytical reviews, reports and information materials for the University management on issues of interaction with key central government bodies, local executive bodies and Kazakhstani universities.
  • coordination and organization of meetings, conferences and other events with representatives of central government bodies, local executive bodies and Kazakhstani universities;
  • maintaining database of contacts in central government bodies, updating information about key persons and structural divisions of central government bodies, local executive bodies and universities, informing the executives of the Office about new important appointments;
  • submission of analytical notes to the executives of the Office on important events related to central executive and local executive bodies, as well as Kazakhstani universities on a regular basis;
  • organization of the reception, registration, processing and sending of correspondence between the University and government bodies regarding the activities of the Office;
  • control and ensuring the quality of timely responses to requests received from government bodies;
  • preparation of important materials and documentation for meetings;
  • drafting of Office’s budget proposals, monitoring and reporting of its implementation;
  • ensuring the effective paperwork in the Office, including electronic paperwork;
  • ensuring the safety and archiving of documents in accordance with internal regulations of the University;
  • maintaining constant communication with government officials;
  • timely and proper execution of instructions from the University management.

Qualifications

Education

  • Higher professional education, preferably in areas related to educational policy, law, international law and public administration
  • Priority specializations: Management, Humanities, Education, Law, Political Science, Economics, International Relations. Preferably in higher educational institutions with English as language of instruction

Work experience

  • At least 3 years in in government relations, strategic planning, public relations in international and/or national companies and/or public service. 

Knowledge

  • Communication skills, decision-making ability, analytical skills, skills in preparing reports and analytical notes, ability to work in a team. Knowledge in the field of public administration.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point. Fluency in Russian and Kazakh languages.
