Company Description

The Office of the Registrar is the Academic department of the University responsible for the oversight of the academic advising unit.

Job Description

  • ·        develops with the help of the Head the internal policies and procedures that guide the activities of Academic Advising;
  • ·        provides input on strategy, procedures, or new initiatives for the improvement of quality of the academic advising  process and the analysis of questions of interoperability with other Schools and departments;
  • ·        develops, implements and manages a current student engagement plan to promote persistence and completion to degree in coordination with the Head;
  • ·        advises students;
  • ·        develops innovative proposals to engage the campus  academic community in the process of student orientation and continuous advisement;
  • ·        prepares knowledge of advisement strategies to internal and external colleagues and university partners;
  • ·        collaborates across university departments to support first year core-curriculum advising;
  • ·        oversees ongoing advisor training for staff;
  • ·        works with other areas of the Division as needed;
  • ·        graduation tasks as assigned by Graduation coordinator;
  • ·        conference tasks as assigned by Conference coordinators or supervisor(s);
  • ·        participation in identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;
  • ·        timely and proper fulfillment of other orders of the Head of division and the University management within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers.

 

Qualifications

Master’s degree in any field, preferably from the higher education institutions with English language of instructions

A degree preferably in social sciences or humanities, higher education or business administration

·      for a Master`s degree holder - at least 5 years of work experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified;

·      for a Bachelor`s or a Specialist`s degree holder - at least 7 years of work experience that is either directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or was accumulated in the context of national and/or international companies;
