Job Description

Looking for bright, friendly professional casual staff for computer-based English Language tests in the Sydney CBD. All training will be provided. New staff are needed to cover weekend and evening sessions, and other sessions may be available. There is no fixed roster; exam sessions are scheduled in response to demand, and are generally 3.5 to 4 hours long. Ideal for university students, but all are welcome to apply.

Essential:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to adhere to test day regulations and procedures
  • Sound working knowledge of English
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of both test procedures and candidate information
  • Professional presentation
  • Sound customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of de-escalation techniques
  • Awareness and understanding of cultural issues
  • Competent computer skills
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Eligibility for Working with Children Check

Desirable: 

  • Current or previous certification as Pearson TA and/or TOEFL iBT TCA
  • Experience as an invigilator or supervisor of formal exams

Qualifications

No formal qualifications are required - all training is provided.
