Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Student Ambassador to represent our organization in Hamilton, New Zealand. As a Student Ambassador, you will serve as the bridge between our organization and the student community, promoting our mission, values, and initiatives while building meaningful connections with your peers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills, expand your professional network, and make a tangible impact on campus and within the local community.

  • Represent the organization at campus events, recruitment fairs, and community gatherings, effectively communicating our mission and values to prospective and current students
  • Engage with student peers through social media, group discussions, and one-on-one conversations to build awareness and foster interest in studying at the College
  • Assist with event planning and execution, including workshops, seminars, and networking sessions designed to support student engagement
  • Gather feedback from the student community and provide insights to help improve organizational initiatives and student experiences
  • Collaborate with team members and other ambassadors to develop creative marketing campaigns and promotional materials that resonate with student audiences
  • Maintain a positive and approachable demeanor, serving as a reliable point of contact for student inquiries and concerns
  • Participate in ambassador training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance communication and leadership capabilities

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled at the College
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Strong interpersonal and people skills with a genuine interest in connecting with diverse student populations
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, reliability, and commitment to representing the organization professionally
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to balance ambassador responsibilities alongside academic or professional commitments
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and digital communication tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also taking initiative independently
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a leadership role, student organization involvement, or ambassador position
  • Preferred: Public speaking experience or comfort presenting to groups
  • Preferred: Knowledge of event coordination or marketing principles
  • Preferred: Networking and relationship-building experience
