Job Description
Natixis in Portugal is currently seeking a Full Stack Team Leader (French Speaker) to join its BPCE-SI (BPCE Solutions Informatiques) team, within the IT (Information Technologies) department, to work in a hybrid model in the Porto or Lisbon office.
Key Responsibilities
1. People Leadership & Delivery (30%)
- Mentorship & Growth: Schedule and conduct effective 1-on-1 meetings, establish clear development plans, and foster a continuous learning culture within the team.
- Goal Setting: Align team objectives with business strategy, defining clear, measurable quarterly goals (e.g., OKRs/KPIs) for your team members.
- Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with the HR team to identify talent gaps, conduct technical interviews, and lead the onboarding process for new hires.
- Stakeholder Management: Conduct regular follow-up and progress meetings with key stakeholders (primarily in French), managing expectations, translating business requirements into technical roadmaps, and ensuring transparent communication.
- Agile Facilitation: Foster a continuous improvement mindset. You will help unblock the team, optimize delivery workflows, and champion Agile principles.
2. Technical Excellence & Hands-on Dev (70%)
- Full-Stack Development: Architect, develop, and maintain robust, scalable web applications using Java (Spring Boot ecosystem) and Angular.
- Code Quality & Architecture: Lead by example by writing clean, testable, and maintainable code. Promote practices like TDD, pair programming, and comprehensive code reviews.
- Technical Vision: Participate in high-level architectural decisions and technical steering discussions to ensure systems are built for long-term scalability.
Qualifications
Core Technical Skills:
- Backend: 9+ years of solid experience in Java development (Spring Boot, Hibernate, microservices architecture).
- Frontend: Strong hands-on experience with modern Angular (including state management, RxJS).
- Database & DevOps: Good understanding of relational/non-relational databases, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly valued.
Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Language: Fluent/Native French (C1/C2) is mandatory, as you will interface directly with French clients/business units. Professional English proficiency is also required.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in mentoring junior/mid-level developers, running 1-on-1s, and managing team dynamics.
- Agile Expertise: Scrum Master experience or certification is a strong plus. You know how to facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to negotiate, influence, and translate complex technical jargon into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
