Job Description

Calculation Engines Developer 

Within the Pricing & Analytics team of IT Global Markets, you will join the Calculation Engines team as a Senior Developer. The Pricing & Analytics team is responsible for the development and maintenance of financial libraries for Equity (TK EDA) and Fixed Income (ARM), as well as their integration into various applications of the Information System. These libraries manage derivatives for Equity, Commodity, and Fixed Income markets.The Calculation Engines teams rely on these pricing libraries to establish robust industrialized calculation chains (Market Data Calibration, Stress Test, HVAR, CVA, EEPE) for the Front Office and Risk departments of Global Markets. These calculation chains handle significant volumes of data while respecting the constraints of computation and storage time for audit trails. They must also expose customized APIs for data access. 

Essential duties and responsibilities 

 

Develop efficient persistence and data access services produced by pricing environments. This data must be stored long-term and requires the implementation of "hot" data (high access performance) and "cold" data (less critical performance). These services should be accompanied by sanity checks and monitoring and supervision tools. 
Develop access and update services for various parameter reference repositories for pricing, implementing audit and historical tracking of these changes. 
Participate in maintaining high-quality production by ensuring compliance with best practices (adherence to procedures, impact analysis, test coverage, business validation, etc.) and proactively managing application and infrastructure incidents by following established action plans. 
Manage technical debt within your scope by encouraging remediation and continuous improvement actions in agreement with business partners. 

Qualifications

  • Development Environment: Visual Studio, GIT, Jenkins 

  • Big Data Solutions: Hadoop platform, Spark programming 

  • Kafka 

  • Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) & API 

  • OpenShift,Axway 

  • Programming Languages: 
           Scala / Hive 
           Java / Spring / SpringBoot 
           SQL & NoSQL 

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field  

  • 4-5 years minimum of work experience, with a preference for experience in Big Data  

  • Interest in API’s development 

  • High Proficiency in developing with Scala, Spark, Hadoop, and Hive  

  • Experience around Java, SpringBoot, API’s and microservices 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • English fluency, both written and spoken (French will be a plus)
