We are hiring for a Senior Manager, Business Intelligence to join our growing team!

This role is pivotal in enhancing the organizations developing data-driven culture. They will take the lead in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights and recommendations. A high level of expertise in data analysis and strong leadership skills is required, as the manager collaborates with other data leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop measurement frameworks. The Senior Manager of BI will report to the Vice President of Business Intelligence and work closely with executive management and various department heads to execute project deliverables efficiently and to promote data-driven competencies and maturity across the organization. Primary clients and stakeholders include, but are not limited to, Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Stores, Senior VP of Financial Planning and Analysis, and Chief Merchandising and Managed Vision Care Officer. Additionally, they will be a hands-on contributor, developing, modifying, and managing the life cycles of organizational dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity within BI systems.

Job Description

What Would You Do? The Specifics.

  • Fosters a culture of data-driven decision making within the organization and promotes the use of analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Defines and maintains key performance indicators and develops reports to track and measure performance and trends based on these metrics
  • Works closely with stakeholders to understand data needs, analyzes datasets to uncover trends, maintains data accuracy within BI systems, and translates business requirements into technical specs
  • Strong project management skills to be able to manage multiple resources and projects concurrently to a successful completion
  • Creates and modifies automated recurring reporting and develops automated reports for varying business units as needed
  • Designs interactive dashboards and reports to clearly visualize key metrics. Using tools like SQL and Power BI, prepare data, build data models, and present findings in compelling ways
  • Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, including internal systems and third-party tools
  • Opens issues and works with development team as a representative of the business users to help with resolution of issues, and tests resolved issues
  • Creates compelling presentations that convey analytic insights and actionable recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
  • Highly organized with an ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Stays current with the latest trends and technologies in BI, data analytics, and data visualization

Qualifications

Work Experience

  • 8+ years Previous Business/Financial/Data Analyst experience including Data Relationship Management, Data Warehousing and Dashboard and Report Development ((Required))
  • 8+ years Proven experience in a wide range of analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques and tools to derive insights from large, complex data environments ((Required))
  • 4-6 years Experience utilizing Microsoft Power BI ((Required))
  • 2-4 years Experience with financial calculations and metrics ((Required))
  • 4-6 years Knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques ((Required))

Education

  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience. in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field (Required)
  • Master's Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field (Preferred)

Licenses, Certifications, Professional Affiliations

  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certificate Upon Hire ((Preferred))

Additional Skills

    • Proficient in Power BI, DAX calculations and data modeling (Required)
    • Experience using SQL or other relational database languages (Required)
    • Knowledge of other business intelligence analysis tools like SSAS, SSIS, BusinessObjects, and Oracle (Required)
    • Experience with data pipeline orchestration and automation within Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure DevOps (Required)
