Marketing Assistant

  • Full-time
  • Department: Support Office

Company Description

At National Dental Care (NDC), our mission is simple — to Make Australia Smile. Guided by our vision to be the first choice for both dental professionals and patients, we’re passionate about delivering outstanding patient care while creating workplaces where our people feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed.

Established in 2013, NDC has grown to become one of Australia’s largest and most trusted dental service providers, with a nationwide network of 111 modern practices — and growing. Our strength lies in our people, our collaborative culture, and our commitment to continuous improvement and clinical excellence.

Are you an early-career marketer with a year or two under your belt, looking for a role that’ll genuinely fast-track your career? This isn’t a coffee-and-admin gig — it’s a rare opportunity to get hands-on with real marketing, real campaigns, and real senior access from day one.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Marketing Assistant at National Dental Care, you’ll sit at the heart of our Branded Marketing team, working closely with the Marketing Manager, Strategist, and Marketing Business Partner. Your work will span everything from keeping daily operations humming to jumping into national campaigns and cross-business projects.

The honest pitch: yes, there’s inbox management and invoicing. But there’s also campaign ownership, content creation, and exposure to parts of the business most marketing assistants don’t see until years later. If you bring the right attitude, the opportunity here is significant.

    ABOUT YOU

Skills can be taught. Attitude can’t. We’re looking for someone who:

    • Has at least one year of practical experience — a solid internship, a Marketing Assistant or Coordinator role, or equivalent
    • Understands how to operate in a professional environment and work collaboratively within a team
    • Is equally happy handling admin tasks and stepping up to take on bigger responsibilities
    • Communicates clearly and proactively with stakeholders at all levels
    • Takes ownership, meets deadlines, and flags issues early rather than late
    • Genuinely wants to learn and sees this role as a career accelerator

    Nice to have:

    • Exposure to digital marketing channels (social media, email, SEO/SEM)
    • Familiarity with CRM, email marketing, or CMS platforms
    • Basic design skills (Canva or equivalent)
    • Experience in a multi-site, healthcare, or corporate environment
    • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

        Job Description

        WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

        Day-to-day, you’ll own:

        • Managing the marketing inbox and responding to ad hoc requests promptly and professionally
        • Monitoring and responding to Google reviews across our practice network, working with Practice Managers on any negative feedback
        • Processing invoices and managing the print portal
        • Managing provider set-ups and removals across online directories and booking platforms
        • Keeping the marketing calendar up to date and flagging upcoming priorities
        • Pulling and updating regular reports
        • Reaching out to media contacts and suppliers for quotes and information

        You’ll also get stuck into:

        • Supporting email campaign creation — writing, designing, and building
        • Copywriting and image selection for social media, emails, and promotional content
        • Artwork updates for digital displays and assets
        • Design support across campaigns, practice marketing, and HR materials
        • Contributing to national campaigns and cross-functional projects with Finance, HR, Acquisitions, and Events
        • Taking ownership of smaller campaigns end-to-end
        • Providing marketing support for industry events and conferences

        Qualifications

        WHY JOIN US

        • Real mentorship: You’ll have direct access to our CMO and senior marketers across the team, with genuine investment in your development.
        • Formal L&D: We’re committed to training and upskilling — you’ll have opportunities to build skills across digital marketing, content, and marketing technology.
        • Hybrid working: Mon–Wed in office (week one); Mon–Thu in office (week two). The rest? Work from home.
        • Great perks: Employee discounts, dental reimbursements, and a social team that actually likes spending time together.
        • Central location: McMahons Point office — 10 minutes from the train station, 20 minutes from the metro.
        • Breadth of exposure: You’ll work across the business — Finance, HR, Acquisitions, Events — in a way that’s rare for a role at this level.
