Job Description

We're seeking a Dental Specialist who is responsible for delivering advanced clinical care within their recognised specialty, in accordance with Australian professional, legal and ethical standards. The role provides specialist treatment, supports shared-care collaboration with general dentists and contributes to the delivery of safe, high-quality and patient-centred care across the practice network.

What You Will Be Doing
• Provide specialist diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical care within scope of specialty
• Manage complex or referred cases in collaboration with general dentists and other clinicians
• Educate and support patients to understand specialist treatment options and pathways
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality assurance and best-practice care standards
• Maintain accurate and compliant specialist clinical records and documentation
• Act as a clinical resource to fellow dentists and, where appropriate, support mentoring in your specialty area
• Support multidisciplinary teamwork to ensure continuity of patient care and optimal outcomes

Qualifications

About You
• Outstanding clinical and diagnostic capability within your specialist scope, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and exceptional patient outcomes
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate, reassure and guide patients through complex treatment plans
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside general dentists, dental assistants and broader practice teams
• High level of professional judgement, patient-centred care and ethical decision-making
• Strong organisation and time-management capability, with attention to clinical documentation and treatment continuity
• A positive, adaptable and team-focused approach, with genuine care for patient wellbeing and the development of others

Qualifications & Experience
•  Current (or eligible) AHPRA registration as a Specialist Dentist in your recognised field
•  Postgraduate specialist qualifications and accreditation appropriate to your specialty
•  Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality specialist clinical care within a private practice or multidisciplinary setting
• Commitment to collaborative case management and shared care with referring general dentists and clinicians
• Experience or interest in mentoring and supporting general dentists and emerging clinicians in your area of specialty (highly regarded)
• Experience with digital dentistry workflows and specialist-relevant technology (preferred but not essential)
