Job Description

We are looking for a Dotdigital specialist with data integration background. This person will be part of a team working for the CXP program which is deploying Dotdigital as the global Marketing Automation platform, integrated primarily with: Salesforce Sales Cloud (CRM), Adobe Commerce / Magento and other business platforms (Retail, B2B, Events, etc.). The objective is to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant data integrations across B2B and B2C environments. This role is strictly technical and integration-focused.

Role Summary

  • Responsible for technical administration, support, and enhancement of DotDigital connectors and data integrations, primarily between DotDigital, Salesforce, and other platforms (e.g., Magento/Adobe).
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and monitoring of data flows across systems.
  • Act as the main technical point of contact for integration issues, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • This role does not include campaign content creation or business journey design.

Key Responsibilities:

Integration Monitoring & Maintenance

  • Monitor and maintain existing integrations between Dotdigital and Salesforce.
  • Support integrations with Magento/Adobe Commerce (including transactional email flows).
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data mappings across systems.
  • Prevent unnecessary creation of new data fields and maintain data model governance.

Data Flow Supervision

  • Proactively monitor data flows between Dotdigital, Salesforce, and Magento/Adobe Commerce.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve synchronization issues.
  • Ensure timely detection and resolution of integration failures.

Technical Configuration & Customization

  • Manage and adapt technical features such as the Preference Center.
  • Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Liquid, HTML/CSS, JavaScript) for custom technical requirements.
  • Support connector adaptations when needed (e.g., via APIs or middleware).

Testing & Validation

  • Test and validate new integration enhancements before production deployment.
  • Validate data flows both: o In Dotdigital o In Salesforce (for data originating from Dotdigital)
  • Execute structured technical testing to ensure reliability and data integrity.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Support manual data updates when required.
  • Ensure high data quality standards.
  • Maintain documentation of: o Integration flows o Data mappings o Scripts o Technical processes

Technical Ownership

  • Serve as the technical expert for Dotdigital connectors.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams.
  • Coordinate with Salesforce administrators, IT teams, and other system owners.
  • Support users on technical topics related to integrations

Qualifications

  • Strong technical expertise in Dotdigital platform administration and connectors.
  • Proven experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud integration and data mapping.
  • Solid understanding of: REST APIs, JSON, Webhooks - Scripting skills (e.g., Liquid, HTML/CSS, JavaScript; C#/.NET is a plus).
  • Experience in data quality monitoring and troubleshooting integration issues.
  • Experience in testing and validating integration enhancements.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively resolve technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with both business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred skills:

  • Prior experience with Salesforce/Magento/Adobe integrations and a Marketing automation platform.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate or similar middleware tools.
