Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a 6–8 years background in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines in AWS environments.
- Design, build, and maintain ELT pipelines that collect, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
- Collaborate with the Data Architect and Data Analyst to design optimal data models and integration solutions.
- Implement data governance, performance optimization, and security best practices.
- Automate workflows and contribute to standardizing data engineering processes.
- Support rollout scalability for additional countries and business units.
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar data-focused role.
- Proven expertise in data pipeline design and development using AWS tools and services.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with data quality frameworks and metadata management.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Tech stack
- AWS Services: Lambda, Glue, S3, Redshift, Athena.
- General AWS Cloud experience: IAM, networking, cost optimization, and automation.
- Veeva (nice to have) – exposure to pharma-related data or validated systems.
- Python and advanced SQL for data transformation and orchestration.
Additional Information
- Previous experience in pharma, healthcare, or regulated environments (GxP/CSV)
- Familiarity with data governance or data catalog tools.
- Remote (EU-based) with occasional short trips to Italy.
