Job Description
As a successful Project Programmer / Planner you will bring broad and consistent practical and technical knowledge of project scheduling and programme planning for construction & fit out relevant to Malaysian standards.
If you are an experienced Project Programmer / Planner and would like to embark on a career journey NEXTDC could be the right move for you. We are seeking a Project Programmer / Planner to join our PMO with an emphasis on:
- Design
- Construction and Services
- Programming and Planning
- Documentation Management
Your responsibilities will include:
- Meeting with the NEXTDC Project Team and review the Project Brief and current design status
- Establishing objectives, and preparing summary Planning Briefs
- Obtaining background information from the NEXTDC Project Team to enable the preparation of the Development Programme
- Preparing the Development Programme and presenting to the NEXTDC Project Leaders
- Working with the NEXTDC Project Team to prepare a detailed Main Contractor procurement programme which includes all relevant sub-workstreams
- Working with the NEXTDC Project Team to investigate alternate construction, design and other methodologies as customer or other initiatives are developed
- Updating programmes as more information becomes available from sources including designers, authorities, contrators and subcontrators, other third parties and NEXTDC procurement and engineering
- Submitting a monthly progress report for the NEXTDC Project Leaders to review, including both .pdf and MS-Project files
- Reviewing works contract provided by Early Works tenderer and comment on methodology, production rates, logic, critical path and overall duration
- Assisting the Project Team in the determination of appropriate Separable Portions
- Providing commentary to the NEXTDC Project Leaders on the proposed Early Works contract programme
- Incorporating the Early Works contract programme into the Development Programme
- Monitoring the Early Works progress and prepare fortnightly Progress Reports
- Providing a Final Report in collaboration with NEXTDC’s Project Director and Project Leader

Qualifications
- PMI-PMP [Project Management Professional] or equivalent (preferred)
- Formal training in Project Programming / Planning
- Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Project advanced functions
- Experience with Procore or other similar design & construction management tools
