Job Description

NETZSCH Pumps USA is looking for an organized, mechanically-inclined individual to work as a Process Engineer-Material Management. The Process Engineer will develop and sustain efficient operational methods for engineering, manufacturing, and Bill of Material (BOM) generation that improve Order Processing productivity and accuracy.

The Process Engineer will optimize NETZSCH's Material Management Systems and configure ways to efficiently and accurately create Bills of Materials for various positive displacement products. The Process Engineer will become a product expert on NETZSCH's positive displacement products and be able to coordinate with Sales and Order Processing on how best to construct a Bill of Materials to optimize lead times and costs for spare parts and full assemblies. This will be accomplished by performing the following duties among others:

  • Migrate Material Master data in ERP System (SAP)- (Material Master, characteristics, class, configuration profile, Bill of Materials).
  • Understand, update and improve BOM configurator capacity to handle greater Bill of Material configuration possibilities.
  • Become a technical consultant with regards to the NETZSCH product line.
  • Maintain material information and troubleshoot Material Master issues.
  • Request, analyze and approve vendor quotes for new materials.
  • Troubleshoot all problems related to pump construction and Bill of Materials.
  • Assist Sales and Order Processing with regards to material of construction related questions.
  • Facilitate communication with international data-management teams at NETZSH sister companies to align on data structures.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain or other related field along with previous experience or coursework in production planning or manufacturing. In addition, candidates should have:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to work across functions in a team environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Data Management. Must be able to maintain process and BOM structure within an ERP system.
  • Previous experience with SAP or VBA is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and current passport or the ability to obtain upon hire.
