Job Description

This is a homebased, full time, fixed term contract for 12 months covering maternity leave with occasional travel in to the Worcester office. 

You will be a grader working in a close knit team within the central grading team.

You will grade images captured in the screening clinics for diabetic retinopathy. Previous experience in diabetic eye screening and grading is essential.

You will be working largely unsupervised and working to strict criteria in alignment with local and national protocols, so we need you to have a good eye for detail. All in all, we want you to be focused, caring about our patients and passionate about delivering an exceptional service at all times.

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Successful completion of Level 3 Health Screening Diploma.
  • The post holder must be computer literate – Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • They will need to show initiative and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • At least two years’ experience working as a Screener Grader within a Diabetes Eye Screening Programme.
  • Have previous experience grading fundus images for diabetic retinopathy.
  • Be able to fully comply with current and future policies and protocols following a training period (e.g. patient confidentiality).
  • Continued CPD development.
