Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer for a 3 month engagement supporting a major SAP Upgrade project. Reporting directly to the SAP Upgrade Solution Architect, you will serve as a hands-on technical specialist responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting core integration solutions primarily on SAP S/4HANA. Operating within our Integration Services team, you will collaborate closely with functional consultants, technical leads, and external vendors to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Core ABAP Development: Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP solutions across reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
  • CDS View Optimization: Analyze, design, develop, and remediate CDS Views to ensure optimal performance.
  • Integration & Interfaces: Design and develop integration interfaces utilizing IDocs, OData Services, BAPIs, and Web Services.
  • Upgrade & Project Support: Support SAP upgrade activities, implementation tasks, continuous improvement initiatives, and production support.
  • Troubleshooting & Remediation: Analyze technical requirements, translate them into practical SAP solutions, and resolve complex application defects and production issues.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare thorough technical documentation, support testing activities, and ensure all development aligns with SAP standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Essential Experience & Technical Skills:

  • Proven ABAP Experience: Strong hands-on background in SAP ABAP development across RICEFW components.
  • S/4HANA & Modern ABAP: Mandatory hands-on exposure to SAP S/4HANA and modern ABAP development practices (ABAP on HANA).
  • CDS Views: Proven experience building, analyzing, and optimizing CDS views.
  • Performance Tuning: Solid experience with debugging, performance tuning, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Integrations: Knowledge of interfaces, APIs, IDocs, BAPIs, or web services.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with a collaborative, proactive approach to working alongside functional consultants and key business stakeholders.

Requirements.

  • Work Rights: Must have current, valid rights to work in Australia.as a contractor
  • Background Check: Successful candidates will be required to complete a National Police Check and hold a current driver’s license.
  • 4 Days onsite - 1 WFH
