Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to lead quality assurance activities across key technology initiatives. This role is responsible for defining test strategies, planning and executing testing activities, and driving automation using SmartBear tools. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on testing expertise combined with the ability to design robust test frameworks and ensure high-quality delivery across complex systems.

The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for developing and owning test strategy and test plan documentation, ensuring all testing activities align with project objectives and quality standards. The role involves leading end-to-end testing, including test design, execution, defect management, and reporting, while ensuring comprehensive coverage across functional, integration, system, and regression testing. They design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using SmartBear tools, enabling efficient and scalable testing approaches. The analyst collaborates closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify risks, and ensure timely issue resolution. Additionally, they manage test environments and data, analyse test outcomes to provide clear insights on quality and release readiness, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices while mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices in quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Test Analyst in enterprise environments
  • Strong experience in developing Test Strategy and Test Plan documentation
  • Hands-on experience with SmartBear automation tools (such as TestComplete, ReadyAPI, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies
  • Experience across API testing, UI testing, and system integration testing
  • Strong knowledge of defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
  • Ability to analyse complex systems and identify test scenarios and edge cases
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing tools
  • Experience in cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB)
