Job Description

The Analyst HR Operations Security & Applications is responsible for assisting the HR Operations team with supporting and enhancing HR processes and systems for all employees. This position is part of a broader team in HR Operations that is responsible for all aspects of supporting, maintaining and optimizing the systems utilized by our HR community and partners. This role is crucial in supporting the functional security administration of all HR applications globally. The Analyst serves as a point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, maintaining proper system access, testing role changes, developing security reports and analyzing existing processes for improvement opportunities. This position will report to the Senior Manager, HR Operations Security & Applications

Here you can:

  • Functional Security
    • Administer the processing of system access requests for all users of HR applications, ensuring timely and accurate provisioning and deprovisioning of system access.
    • Troubleshoot and research system and security access-related issues reported by users, providing timely resolution and support to maintain uninterrupted system functionality.
    • Conduct quarterly security audits and user access reviews to assess compliance with data security policies, procedures, and SOX requirements.
    • Gather and documents requirements for new security access requests and partners with the IT security team on the creation and testing of new security roles.
    • Partner with stakeholders on existing security role modifications and enhancements from impact assessment, testing to implementation.
    • Develop and maintain a variety of security audit reports or queries utilizing applicable reporting tools.
    • Provide functional security support for annual/recurring HR processes such as Performance Management, Compensation, COI, and Executive Reorgs.
    • Maintain security related configuration and end user authorizations.
  • Applications
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for new applications or enhancements to existing applications.
    • Drive new application releases and prioritizes the scope of key features aimed at enhancing the user experience for HR.
    • Serve as primary point of contact for HR and IT teams on application related matters, providing updates, gathering feedback and addressing concerns.
    • Translate business requirements into functional design documents for technical teams
    • Provide support and training to end users to ensure successful adoption and utilization of new application features.
    • Develop and maintains end user guidelines and documentation.
  • Projects/Process Improvements
    • Participate in system implementation projects from a functional security perspective, end-to-end through requirements, design, build, test, and implementation phases.
    • Recommend and/or supports process improvements and program changes.
    • Supports HR projects aimed at improving HR processes and systems, including but not limited to large-scale deployments.
    • Use project management skills in managing security workstream activities for the duration of project.
    • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Here you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Technology or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of HRIS related experience
  • Intermediate to advanced expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • Ability to commute on a weekly basis (typically one day per week, but sometimes more frequently) to either New York, NY or Universal City, CA office
  • Experience with SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) modules and/or SAP SuccessFactors talent modules
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team skills, ability to communicate well with individuals, and in group settings, ability to communicate with diverse population and people from various backgrounds in a consultative manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations to diverse audiences

  • Sound decision-making skills and the ability to exercise professional judgment

  • Demonstrates ability to answer questions and explain systems and processes to business partners
  • Highly organized and ability to balance multiple assignments of competing priorities while managing to meet forecasted target dates

Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.

Ability to work Eastern Time (ET) business hours to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and partners, with flexibility to provide on-call support for critical implementations and go-live events, including evening or weekend coverage as needed
