Job Description
We are looking for a Publicity Intern (m/f/d) for a period of 6 months, starting October 1, 2026 - to join our Universal Pictures International Germany team.
This internship offers the opportunity for a comprehensive look behind the scenes of the exciting work of our team at the Frankfurt location.
Your tasks
Public Relations is an important pillar of marketing and one of the essential components for the marketing of cinema films. As part of the internship, you will therefore be involved in a wide range of tasks and projects of the publicity team:
- As an intern, you will support the publicity managers in the development and implementation of nationwide PR concepts – starting with the initial ideas, through strategic analysis and planning to actual implementation and final reporting.
- You will help with organizing tours of international film stars and with drawing up the corresponding interview schedules.
- You will be responsible for coordinating press screenings throughout Germany and managing materials on our press server.
- You will work closely with our press offices and be the contact person for various press inquiries.
- You will assist with translation work and can contribute your professional creativity when writing press releases.
- Evaluation of press clippings for internal reporting is part of your responsibilities.
After just a short training period, you will be integrated into the work processes and gain a comprehensive insight into the press work of an international movie distributor. And we can promise you one thing: this is by no means a one-dimensional job.
This is a paid, full-time internship (Mon-Thu 9am – 6pm, Fri 9am – 3pm). Please note that we require a valid enrolment certificate from you, for the entire duration of this internship.
Qualifications
- You communicate openly and effectively, and you are organized.
- You have a good command of written and spoken English as well as a good command of German (C1).
- Your tried-and-tested MS Office skills – especially in Word and Excel – are excellent.
- Even with a heavy workload, you don’t lose sight of the big picture. The ability to work in a team and a sense of humor complete your profile.
- And last but not least: you love films and cinema!
