Job Description
NBCUniversal is seeking a Data Analyst to join a driven and highly motivated team within Media Operations, part of the larger Technical Operations organization.
Media Operations is responsible for managing NBCUniversal’s content supply chain, including ingest, QC, prep, and fulfillment to deliver content on behalf of the company’s Domestic and International properties ranging from film studios to broadcast networks and streaming platforms.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for owning projects and initiatives to simplify supply chain operations and driving best practices through governance, metrics reporting, and change management. Additionally, this role will support the ongoing efforts within Media Operations to simplify the content supply chain, harden the operation’s technical footprint, and maintain communication and awareness of simplification efforts throughout the department.
Job Duties
- Partner with Fulfillment organization and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational challenges, customer needs, and process improvement opportunities. Develop deep operational expertise and translate business requirements into actionable analytics solutions.
- Define and execute the department's data and analytics roadmap, managing projects from inception through delivery. Coordinate scope, timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful implementation of data initiatives.
- Collect, extract, cleanse, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Support the development and maintenance of databases, data systems, and automated data collection processes.
- Perform exploratory and statistical analysis to identify trends, measure operational performance, and uncover actionable insights. Develop and maintain KPIs, governance metrics, and performance measurement frameworks that support business decision-making.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau. Present findings and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner to stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement through the development of scalable reporting solutions, automated workflows, and standardized processes that improve data quality, efficiency, and visibility across the organization.
- Own departmental operational reporting, including project status updates, productivity metrics, business performance indicators, accomplishments, and strategic initiatives. Support leadership planning activities, including long-range planning and operational reviews.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Business, Finance, Economics
- Alternative Paths: Equivalent work experience, coding bootcamps, or certifications in specific tools are sometimes accepted.
- 4+ years of proven performance working with project teams and effectively delivering projects of all sizes
- 4+ years of experience creating business presentations for executive audiences
- 3+ years of experience managing metrics reporting in an operational environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience within the media operations, broadcast, entertainment, or digital media industry
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with project management and workflow systems and tools (Salesforce, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office 365)
- Experience with working in a data first environment with tools such as Tableau, Tableau Prep, PowerBi, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Snowflake and Excel (Advanced functions)
- Acute attention to detail
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work well in groups or teams
Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
