Universal Television Entertainment is responsible for world-class television entertainment. The division programs and markets content across leading entertainment brands Bravo, NBC and Peacock, and produces over 3,000 hours of television annually through Universal Studio Group, the studio business comprised of Universal Television, UCP, Universal International Studios and Universal Television Alternative Studio. Together, these teams align NBCUniversal’s content and production expertise to inspire global audiences with television that entertains and shapes culture. 

Job Description

The Entertainment Coordinator will support two VPs of Current Scripted Programming and work across the NBCUniversal TV portfolio, including Peacock and NBC. The position also serves as office liaison, communicating with internal divisions, as well as the external business and creative community.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep detailed records for tracking production and creative across a wide variety of shows at a very high volume 
  • Ensure all internal records are accurate for programming purposes 
  • General administrative duties including, but not limited to: managing heavy phones, scheduling, contact management, expenses, and travel 
  • Coordinate conference calls, meetings, table reads and run-throughs 
  • Assist in internal communication across NBCUniversal departments and divisions; as well as with external partners in the creative community: networks, other studios, agencies and managers. 
  • Maintain internal documents including programming reports, production distribution lists, submission logs, etc. 
  • Other tasks as assigned 

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience  
  • 1+ year(s) of on-desk industry experience 
  • Professional phone skills, organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills 
  • Experience supporting executives 
  • Knowledge of the TV industry landscape 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and Google Workspace, including Google Sheets and Google Docss

  • Flexible and personable self-starter who is extremely detail-oriented with the ability to interface with the creative community as well as all levels of NBCUniversal staff  
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment  
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to anticipate, problem-solve, and stay level-headed under pressure 
  • Multi-task oriented with strong organizational process and time management skills  
  • A motivated individual with a passion for television and willingness and desire to learn would enjoy working with our fun and dedicated Current Programming team

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
