Job Description
The UC/C Technician supports NBCUniversal’s global audio‑visual and collaboration environment, ensuring a reliable, high‑quality end‑user experience across conference rooms, event spaces, digital signage, and UC/C platforms. Reporting to the Manager of UC/C & Media Experience, this role serves as a Level 2 (L2) escalation point, partnering with L1 VNOC teams and escalating to L3 engineering as needed.
This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role requiring immediate response to business‑critical issues impacting meetings, live events, and executive collaboration. Support is delivered through in‑person engagement and remote channels, including phone, chat, email, and remote access tools, with a strong focus on meeting SLA commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve A/V, UC, network, and telephony issues across global conference rooms and event spaces
- Serve as the primary L2 escalation resource; identify urgent issues and escalate appropriately
- Support live events, meetings, and collaboration technologies in real time
- Document incidents, requests, and tasks accurately using ticketing systems
- Maintain and support conference room hardware and digital signage
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the NBCUniversal UC/C experience, including end‑user training and stakeholder support
- Partner with cross‑functional teams during the design and build of collaboration spaces
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Tandberg, Cisco TMS and VCS, SX series codecs and Telepresence, VOIP, SIP, H323, Creston, Polycom Endpoints (HDX/VVX/RMX), AMX and AV cloud collaboration solutions.
- Associates’ degree in computer-related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
- Configure, support, troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with Audio Visual hardware and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Networking experience.
- Strong knowledge of A/V signal flow.
- Proven attention to details and follow-up.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, documentation is a must.
- Knowledge of how to use electrical and electronic diagnostic tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and Cloud Video Interop solutions.
- Experience with room/desk booking solutions (Condeco, iOffice).
- Experience with Digital Signage solutions (BrightSign, Haivision, Mediastar).
- Experience with DS platforms (Appspace).
- Experience with (MS Teams, Zoom, Amazon Chime, Bluejeans, Google Meets).
- Computer Skills: MS Office, Outlook, Visio, etc.
- 2+ years of On-Site or Internal Support experience.
- 2+ years of DSP programming (Biamp, QSC).
- Ability to read and understand signal and network diagrams.
- Audio Visual system design knowledge base.
- Audio Visual design build process experience.
- Software Development Lifecycle knowledge.
- Internal Operations experience.
- Continental Operations experience.
- Global Operations experience.
- 2+ years Endpoint Admin Experience (Zoom dashboard, Cisco Control Hub, LogiSync, Microsoft XIO, etc).
- 2+ years live event support experience.
- 2+ years of experience with Audio Systems (Shure, Sennheiser, AKG, Yamaha).
- 2+ years of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) experience.
- Experience supporting live events in studio spaces.
- Demonstrates high level of interpersonal soft skills.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in broadcasting, video production, multimedia, or related field a plus.
- Ability to execute within a fast-paced agile process.
- Ability to design audio and/or video installations from start to finish.
- High attention to detail while balancing multiple issues.

Salary range: $70,000 - $85,000
