Job Description
Job Description:
Universal Television Entertainment (UTE) is seeking a dynamic strategist to support the development of holistic, data-informed marketing strategies for original programming, acquired content and films on Peacock. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Marketing Strategy, this role is part of a broader team responsible for building actionable marketing strategies across the UTE portfolio – including NBC, Bravo, NBC Sports, and Peacock – that drive awareness, subscriber acquisition, and engagement. The person will play a critical role in leveraging data and insights to help marketing teams understand the unique value proposition, cultural context, and growth opportunities for priority content on Peacock. They will help articulate the broader marketing approach, positioning, and strategic guardrails – then translate it into actionable direction for creative development, audience targeting and cross-functional collaboration. They will also help shape the agenda for consumer-driven, long-term strategic thinking around Peacock growth and franchise building.
The Person:
You’re energized by turning insights into ideas, and ideas into impactful marketing strategies. You’re naturally curious, digging into the “why”, and connecting the dots across data, culture, and content. You’re comfortable working with data and insights – not just reviewing them, but interpreting what they mean and translating them into clear strategic implications. You can zoom out to see the big picture, while also diving into the details to get it right. You’re as comfortable sharing your point of view as you are collaborating with others and contributing to a stronger collective outcome. You communicate clearly and simply, whether in a room or on a slide, and can tailor your message to different audiences.
You thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and can navigate ambiguity with ease. You’re proactive and organized, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining momentum. You bring a positive, solutions-oriented mindset and build strong relationships across teams. You are comfortable in rooms, asking thoughtful questions, contributing to discussions and representing the strategy perspective with confidence. Most importantly, you’re excited by entertainment and motivated by the opportunity to help shape how audiences discover and connect with content on Peacock.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Contribute to marketing strategy development for Peacock’s original series and key titles – helping define positioning, audience targets, objectives, and strategic frameworks
- Support the translation of research, cultural insights, and performance data into clear takeaways that inform strategy and campaign direction
- Help identify marketing hooks that expand reach, drive engagement, and unlock growth opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Media, Multiplatform Planning, Decision Sciences, Programming, and other partners to synthesize inputs and inform strategic recommendations
- Support the translation of strategy into campaign execution across creative, media, and other platform touchpoints
- Develop clear, compelling presentations that bring strategies to life for internal stakeholders
- Support the preparation of materials for senior leadership reviews, ensuring clarity and consistency of the strategic narrative
- Track campaign performance and contribute to optimization by surfacing key insights and learnings
- Conduct competitive analyses across the streaming and entertainment landscape to identify opportunities and inform differentiated strategies
- Help manage and guide the NBCU page selected for the Marketing Strategy team each quarter
- Maintain project tracking for multiple workstreams and deliverables to meet deadlines
