Job Description
''Meet the Press with Kristen Welker” is looking for an Associate Producer who has exceptional editorial skills, strong news judgment, a demonstrated expertise in covering politics and policy, and strong tape, digital and social skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work with editors and graphic artists to produce packages, including the broadcast Open, edit tape elements and develop graphics
- Generate and pitch show ideas, program guests and franchise segments
- Produce political panel
- Gather sound and assist with ''Meet the Press'' interview elements and spots
- Produce guest research and write questions for ''Meet the Press'' moderator
- Shoot and edit stories for digital and social platforms, and elements for broadcast
- Edit show promos, early release clips and other show franchises
- Identify top news-making moments for NBC News affiliates
- Track competition
- Assist with show archiving
- Edit and socialize breakout clips for social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and meetthepress.com
- Contribute to “Meet the Press” blog
- Assist with podcast production for ''The Chuck ToddCast'' and other audio projects
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in news production
- At least 3 years of tape, field and editing experience
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
- Must be available to work Saturdays & Sundays as part of the regular weekly schedule, as well as evenings and holidays as required
- Willing to work in Washington, DC
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
