Job Description

  • Produce, publish, and optimize original content for web, mobile, social media, and OTT/streaming platforms.
  • Execute real-time digital coverage of breaking news, severe weather, elections, and major community events.
  • Program and maintain homepage and section fronts to maximize audience engagement and retention.
  • Ensure content aligns with editorial standards, brand voice, and strategic priorities established by NBCUniversal Local and the Telemundo Station Group Digital Unit.
  • Apply SEO best practices and headline optimization techniques to enhance discoverability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with newsroom, marketing, sales, and other local and network teams to support integrated content initiatives.
  • Drive community engagement initiatives and audience interaction across digital platforms.
  • Support content-sharing initiatives across Telemundo and NBC-owned markets.
  • Monitor local, national, and international news developments; sports knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in digital publishing, newsroom operations, or content production.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Spanish-language writing and copy editing.
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • Strong understanding of journalistic standards and editorial judgment.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in SEO strategy and digital content optimization.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and performance reporting.
  • Experience managing content across major social platforms.
  • Basic video editing and multimedia production skills preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.
