Job Description
TODAY Digital, the multiplatform arm of America’s favorite morning show, is looking for a Special Projects Associate to produce digital shopping content in our CMS and support our partnerships, awards and other key franchises.
The associate will be responsible for supporting Shop TODAY’s senior partnerships editor and deputy managing editor. Duties will center on the production and optimization of commerce articles, from importing copy and art to building and updating shopping widgets. This person will support the digital production of shoppable broadcast segments tied to partnerships as well as various awards franchises like Travel Gear Awards and Beauty Awards, with the opportunity to write copy and pitch products as well. The ideal candidate will have a mix of organizational, editorial and analytical skills with impeccable attention to detail and the ability to pivot between different projects throughout the day.
This is a full-time, hybrid position (in person in our New York City office Mondays-Thursdays with the option to work remotely on Fridays).
Responsibilities:
- Build custom shopping articles and program landing pages in our CMS, with a focus on content tied to special projects such as strategic partnerships and awards
- Support editors and producers on digital programming for shoppable broadcast segments
- Support editors with awards franchise execution, including market research, outreach, tracking and ordering product samples for testing
- Execute content refreshes as assigned
- Code and optimize commerce posts based on affiliate partnerships and SEO
- Coverage of tentpole commerce events such as Prime Day and Black Friday
- Support the partnerships and commerce editorial teams with additional tasks and projects as needed
Qualifications
- At least 2+ years digital editorial experience in the lifestyle space preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
- Understanding of CMS and editorial workflow
- Experience utilizing SEO best practices and tools
- Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to multitask
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and knowledge of AP style
- Strong editorial judgment and sense of the TODAY voice and audience
- Interest in shopping trends and discovering new products that will resonate with TODAY readers
- Familiarity with affiliate marketing platforms a plus
Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $62,000 - $72,000
