Job Description
NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises is seeking a Vice President, Audience Development & Growth Strategy to lead audience growth, engagement, and retention across its digital streaming ecosystem, with a primary focus on Peacock and the Telemundo App. This role will define and execute holistic and IP-specific streaming strategies, oversee paid acquisition and retention efforts, and partner closely with Content, Marketing, Product, Technology, and Analytics teams to drive sustainable audience and revenue growth.
The Vice President will operate at the intersection of strategy, execution, and performance optimization—owning growth levers from content prioritization and acquisition through audience targeting, creative strategy, and lifecycle engagement.
The Vice President, Audience Development & Growth Strategy is responsible for:
Streaming & Growth Strategy
- Define and implement a comprehensive digital streaming growth strategy aligned with Telemundo’s broader business objectives.
- Develop and execute IP-specific digital streaming strategies that maximize audience growth and engagement.
- Drive user acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization across Peacock and the Telemundo App
- Translate company and portfolio-level goals into actionable, measurable growth initiatives.
Content Acquisition & Licensing Oversight
- Oversee content acquisition and licensing strategy to ensure a compelling, diverse, and competitive content slate.
- Prioritize content, platforms, and distribution opportunities based on audience potential, lifecycle stage, and business impact.
- Partner with Content and Programming teams to inform release strategies, windowing, and promotional priorities.
- Balance content investment with performance, audience impact, and long-term strategic value.
Paid Acquisition & Marketing Strategy
- Own overall strategy, budget allocation, audience targeting, and creative approach for paid acquisition campaigns.
- Partner with Marketing and Media teams to optimize channel mix, creative performance, and ROI.
- Ensure alignment between acquisition strategy and downstream engagement and retention goals.
Retention & Engagement Optimization
- Oversee Telemundo App retention and lifecycle engagement efforts, identifying opportunities to increase usage frequency, repertoire, and long-term loyalty.
- Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to improve in-app experiences, personalization, and feature adoption.
- Champion initiatives that deepen content discovery and habitual usage.
Performance Analysis & Optimization
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) including acquisition efficiency, engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
- Leverage data and insights to continuously refine strategies, test new approaches, and optimize performance.
- Partner closely with Analytics teams to ensure measurement frameworks support actionable decision-making.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with Peacock, Marketing, Product, Technology, Content, and Analytics teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, clearly communicating insights, trade-offs, and recommendations.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Required
- 12+ years of experience in audience development, growth strategy, streaming, digital media, or consumer subscription businesses.
- Proven track record driving audience growth, engagement, and retention at scale, preferably within streaming or media.
- Strong understanding of content-led growth, IP monetization, and audience lifecycle management.
- Experience overseeing paid acquisition strategy, budgeting, and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.

Salary range: $200,000 - $250,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
