Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Manager, Corp Core AI Product will lead a team of AI product managers and product owners supporting Finance, Source to Pay and HR business functions. This role is responsible for shaping the AI product strategy across these corporate domains, overseeing the intake and prioritization of use cases, and ensuring successful delivery of scalable, business-ready AI solutions. The manager partners closely with functional leaders and business engagement resources to understand business needs, translate them into AI opportunities, and drive measurable impact through automation, insights, and improved user experiences. This position also develops talent, establishes best practices for AI development, and fosters a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence across the organization.

 

· Team Leadership & Development

o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of AI product managers and product owners supporting Finance, S2P, and HR business functions.

o Foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and innovation in generative AI, automation, machine learning, LLM safety, prompt engineering, and enterprise data literacy.

o Foster a culture of operational excellence within the team.

o Mentor the team on product strategy, stakeholder management, and iterative delivery.

o Develop and coach team members, supporting their professional growth and skill advancement.

o Stay current on emerging AI capabilities, GenAI Platforms (e.g., SAP Business AI, Harvey AI, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, etc.)

o Champion a culture of new ideas and drive experimentation with prototypes, pilots, and proofs of concept.

· AI Product Strategy & Roadmap

o Shape and execute the AI product strategy for core corporate functions.

o Define and maintain the product roadmap, aligning with business objectives and operational requirements.

o Oversee the intake, assessment, prioritization, and roadmap planning of AI use cases across Finance, Source to Pay, and HR.

o Ensure alignment of AI initiatives with enterprise strategy and corporate transformation objectives.

o Partner with business leaders to define problem statements, success metrics, ROI expectations, and long-term product vision.

o Evangelize AI enablement across corporate functions through demos, training, internal showcases, and value storytelling.

· AI Solution Delivery

o Ensure the delivery of scalable, reliable, and impactful AI solutions.

o Guide the team through the end-to-end lifecycle of AI products and capabilities-from discovery and validation through design, development, testing, rollout, operational support, and KPIs.

o Remove roadblocks, allocate resources, and ensure execution quality across multiple business portfolios.

o Track delivery milestones, manage risks, and ensure adherence to responsible AI principles and regulatory guardrails.

o Drive cross-functional alignment with engineering, platform teams, cyber, legal, privacy and change management.

o Establish best practices for AI product development, including model evaluation, prompt management, data quality and post-launch monitoring.

· Business Partnership

o Partner with business leaders to identify and translate operational needs into AI opportunities.

o Serve as a subject matter expert, guiding stakeholders on AI capabilities and best practices.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or related discipline).

· 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in AI or data-driven product roles.

· 2+ years of people management experience

· Proven experience leading teams and managing cross-functional AI initiatives.

· Hands-on experience with AI/ML, automation, analytics, and data-driven product development.

· Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders and translate needs into technical solutions.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

· Experience in Finance, Source to Pay, or HR domains is highly desirable.

· Familiarity with cloud platforms, analytics tools, and agile methodologies.

· Demonstrate excellent verbal/presentation and written communication skills

· Possess interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of Business and IT

· Self-starter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge

· Exhibit collaboration and teamwork skills

· Willingness to work off business hours and weekends as needed in a demanding environment

Preferred Characteristics

· Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4, SAP Fieldglass or other ERP systems.

· Knowledge of SAP modules and integrations is a plus.

· Prior experience in corporate functions within a large matrixed organization.

· Certification in Product Management, agile methodologies, or AI/ML (e.g., CSPO, PMAI, cloud AI certs).

· Hands on experience with Enterprise AI / GenAI Platforms such as Azure OpenAI, SAP Business AI, Google Vertex, Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot Studio

· Experience with prompt design and evaluation tools across LLM platforms

· Model Development / ML Ops experience
