Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

We’re looking for a Director of Product to transform how our audiences engage with Versant’s TV Everywhere (TVE) experiences across our portfolio of brands. This leader will define the vision and strategy for our suite of TVE applications, ensuring we deliver seamless, innovative, and engaging ways for viewers to access our content anytime, anywhere.

You’ll sit at the intersection of technology, product, and brand strategy, shaping experiences that delight consumers while supporting the business models that drive growth. This leader will partner closely with Programming, Content Distribution, Marketing, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to set clear priorities, align on strategy, and execute effectively.

This is a unique opportunity to elevate the digital entertainment experience, modernizing Versant’s TVE apps and enabling us to reach and engage audiences globally.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to set the strategic direction for the TVE product portfolio, ensuring consistent, best-in-class experiences across all Versant brands.
  • Build and manage multi-year product roadmaps that balance near-term feature delivery with long-term innovation.
  • Drive continuous improvement with KPI measurement, monitoring, and data-driven decision-making (e.g., engagement, retention, performance, and customer satisfaction).
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers, fostering a culture of inclusiveness, collaboration, accountability, and impact.
  • Apply Agile methodologies and work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable TVE apps.
  • Manage budgets for the product portfolio, including development, hosting, licensing, and support, while modeling ROI and audience impact.
  • Build credibility and influence across Versant by demonstrating thought leadership, product expertise, and clear communication.

 

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of product management experience, with ownership of consumer-facing digital products.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience building and scaling OTT, streaming, or TVE applications.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience leading people and teams.

    Additional Requirements: 

    • Remote Commutable:  This position has been designated needing to be in the Los Angeles office 2 - 4 times per month depending on business needs.
    • This role may require quarterly on-site collaboration weeks in New York City (NY) and Englewood Cliffs (NJ). Limited travel (<10%) to broadcast, vendor, or operations centers may be required.
