Job Description

The Vice President, Corporate FP&A serves as a key role on the NBCUniversal Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team, reporting to the Executive Vice President with responsibility for planning, analysis, and reporting of NBCU Working Capital, Free Cash Flow metrics and the total change in cash. The role provides the unique opportunity for extensive visibility and interaction across all of the Company's businesses.

The Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team is responsible for all planning and estimate cycles, internal reporting and related analysis for NBCUniversal consolidated financial results. The team also oversees the preparation of presentations to a wide spectrum of internal and external audiences including NBCUniversal and Comcast Senior management, as well as Investor Relations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ownership of deliverables for all cash flow planning cycles (budget, quarterly forecasts, long range plans) and quarterly close presentations including communication of variance drivers to budget/prior year and key working capital components/trends
  • Manage financial analysis for all planning cycles – requiring in-depth understanding of business submissions, performing trend analysis, identifying risks/opportunities and summarizing key components in presentations to senior management
  • Consolidate and report monthly pacing submissions identifying key drivers, summarizing risks/opportunities and tracking pacing volatility across divisions
  • Support quarterly Investor Relations and external reporting processes; liaise with Comcast FP&A, NBCU Corporate Controllership and External Reporting teams, when necessary
  • Support quarterly close cash flow adjustment process to reconcile to externally reported FCF – requiring coordination with divisions and the Corporate Financial Reporting team
  • Manage the reporting of all cash sources & uses outside the FCF metric for planning and actual cycles to track total NBCU change in cash
  • Identify opportunities and implement process improvements for automation of planning processes, trend analysis and reporting actuals
  • Lead and develop the team and direct reports
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • Demonstrable computer/analysis skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous experience in the media and entertainment industry highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work across multiple lines of business.
  • Experience with SAP Accounting/Business Warehouse and BPC software a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, CPA, MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting a plus.

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
