Job Description
NBCUniversal is looking for a Senior Manager, Finance Capital Planning & Consolidation to join our West Coast Studio Operations (“WCSO”) and Global Real Estate (“GRE”) Team in University City, California, reporting to the VP, FP&A of West Coast Studio Operations and Global Real Estate. The NBCU portfolio consists of multiple business divisions across global locations.
In this role, you will play a role in the development of WCSO and GRE capital budgets as well as GRE overhead planning and forecasting functions. You will support Capital Planning & Reporting for WCSO and GRE and provide FP&A and financial support to the GRE & Sustainability division of NBCU. For GRE, you will also be responsible for fiscal oversight of real estate transactions and entitlement/master planning and developmental support of NBCU properties. You will also lead ad hoc strategic and financial analysis on a broad range of real estate topics (acquisition, disposition, buy vs. lease vs. build).
What You’ll Do:
- Support annual budgeting and Long Range financial Planning (LRP) for WCSO Capital Projects and for GRE Capital Projects and Operating Expenses
- Provide periodic forecasts, quarterly and monthly pacing with variance explanations, and presentations to NBCUniversal corporate and senior management
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for GRE and Sustainability Overhead expenses
- Develop and maintain key metrics for tracking and analysis and improved depth of existing reporting
- Partner with GRE team to provide financials and fiscal impact of the development of Master Plan initiatives
- Act as a liaison to Operations & Technology Controllership to ensure capital activities are accounted for appropriately
- Support capital projects and improvements identified by GRE that have cross divisional benefits
- Strengthen cross-functional relationships with business units
- Identify financial risks and opportunities
- Provide strategic and advisory services to business leaders

What You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years of experience analyzing financial statements and budgets, and 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Proven experience in financial metric analysis, forecasting and planning
- Proven experience using SAP or other similar accounting software
What Would Make You a Stand-out:
- MBA in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field
- Experience in managing capital expenditure consolidation and reporting
- Experience in Real Estate, including due diligence, market and property evaluations, acquisitions, dispositions, and projections
- Experience working within a media environment
- Experience fostering relationships with peers in operating functions and other matrix operational teams
- Ability to develop a strong internal and external network; effectively and efficiently leveraging relevant resources
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach to problem solving including analytical and information system skills

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
