Job Description
Role Summary:
NBC Sports connects people to their sports passions through compelling content, innovative technology and immersive experiences with premier live events, insightful studio shows, and compelling original programming. We are adding an HR Coordinator to our Sports Division in Stamford, CT. In this role, you will provide transactional HR support and help drive HR projects that span: onboarding, talent mobility and engagement, performance management and talent attraction and development.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Management
- Prepare job descriptions for open positions, and post open jobs via nbcunicareers.com
- Facilitate new hire onboarding process including generating offer letters and processing background checks
- Process new hires in SAP and complete I-9 verifications for new employees
- Partner with hiring manager to ensure a smooth new hire experience
HR Processes & Data
- Process HRIS transactions (hires, personal data changes, promotions, terminations, etc.)
- Serve as primary user for all HR systems: SAP, SmartRecruiters, etc.
- Run reoccurring and ad hoc reports and analyze HR metrics on attrition, performance, diversity, etc.
- Liaise with business partners including Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Finance in order to field questions and resolve day-to-day employee issues
- Assist with annual processes (performance review process, salary planning, benefits open enrollment, etc.)
- Keep apprised & updated on new regulations, company policies & procedures
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
- 1+ years of work experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Related Fields of Study
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Useful experience:
- Transactional experience using HR systems

Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
- Must be willing to work overtime and/or on weekends when needed
- Must be willing to travel if necessary (note this will be minimal)
Additional Requirements:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
