This role reports to the SVP, Commerce Product
Primary focus
As VP of Platform Tools, you will lead the platform strategy for publishing tools, MarTech and targeting/personalization within our global streaming commerce ecosystem. This role holder will combine strategic vision, technical expertise and leadership skills to develop a set of coherent capabilities that enable delivery of commerce journeys and experiences at a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive strategy for platform tools with a specific focus on publishing tools, Martech and targeting/personalization capabilities.
- Oversee the development and optimization of publishing tools that empower content authors and streamline publishing workflows
- Lead the development and rollout of global Marketing technologies enabling effective user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Establish a vision for targeting/personalization capabilities that can be consumed at scale to improve commerce journeys. Oversee collaboration with Data Science, Engineering and broader product management organization to bring that vision to fruition.
- Define metrics for platform tool effectiveness and identify areas of future opportunity to refine Commerce production operations and improve customer experiences.
- Work with Marketing, Data Science and Engineering to evaluate external platform partners.
- Provide thought leadership that enables operational excellence and delivery efficiency
- Cultivate and lead a team of product leaders and contributors who build endlessly effective foundational capabilities that empower others.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in technical product management with global senior leadership experience within a large organization focused on platform strategy.
Desired Characteristics:
- Relevant experience in large global matrixed organizations delivering at least two of publishing, Martech or personalization tools.
