Our Brisbane warehouse is Located in Geebung and you will be required to be onsite 5 days per week.
Job Description
The Warehouse Manager is a hands-on role responsible for the efficient end-to-end operation of the distribution site, including all warehouse functions, staff, and operational requirements. Reporting to the General Manager, the Warehouse Manager works closely with Supply Chain, Sales, and Pharmacy Operations to ensure compliant receipt, storage, and distribution of stock in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Service Delivery
- Manage and conduct end-to-end site warehouse operations, including inbound receipt, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and general warehousing activities.
- Oversee receipt and dispatch of stock, including loading and unloading of courier vehicles.
- Manage supplier stock returns, product recalls, quarantine movements and inter-warehouse transfers as directed.
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction as the primary objective.
- Undertake operational duties as required, including oversight of general warehousing tasks and administrative functions.
Compliance, Inventory Control and Regulatory Governance
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed and remain compliant with legislative, regulatory and licensing requirements.
- Manage and maintain the site-specific Drug Registry in accordance with TGA and State Health Department obligations.
- Oversee quarantine-related stock movements, controlled stock handling and regulated product flows.
- Manage internal and external cycle counts and stocktakes to maintain inventory accuracy and audit readiness.
- Lead and support supplier audits, external audits and regulatory site inspections.
- Manage the development, review and continuous improvement of SOPs, acting as the primary operational contact for Compliance.
- Maintain accurate backend system data relating to warehousing and inventory operations.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation and site safety standards.
Risk, Security and Incident Management
- Manage and investigate inventory discrepancies and stock variances.
- Lead root cause analysis for operational, compliance or quality-related incidents.
- Manage reportable incidents, including security breaches, stock loss or temperature excursions.
- Escalate regulatory risks to senior leadership where required.
- Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain oversight of physical security systems, including CCTV, alarms and access controls.
People Leadership
- Promote the empowerment and growth of staff by providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and manage team performance to achieve individual and departmental goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and processes, taking timely and fair action in instances of unsatisfactory performance or conduct.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience (3-5 years) warehouse management experience - experience and understanding of S8 medications would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory accuracy, DIFOT, SLA management and KPI’s.
- Experience working with key stakeholders in a remote environment
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
- Experience managing teams of approximately 10-30 employees.
- Demonstrated success improving warehouse operations and processes.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions.
- Data-driven mindset with an ability to use KPIs to drive performance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable balancing operational responsibilities with improvement projects.
- Technology savvy and confident using warehouse systems and reporting tools.
