Job Description

At Alternaleaf, we combine evidence based practice with innovation to deliver telehealth care to thousands of patients across Australia. We’re looking for experienced Medical Practitioners to join our team on a permanent part-time or full-time basis.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide high-quality telehealth consultations to a diverse patient cohort
  • Conduct clinical assessments, prescribe S4 and S8 medications, and manage follow-up care
  • Collaborate closely with nurses and doctor support teams to ensure smooth, patient-centred care
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in a digital-first environment, including Google Suite and multiple in-house systems
  • Contribute to clinical training, peer learning, and governance activities
  • Work a structured roster, including peak hours, while leveraging digital tools to improve efficiency and patient outcomes

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • MBBS or equivalent, unrestricted Ahpra registration (min PGY4)
  • Experience in emergency, urgent care, high-volume GP, or telehealth (advantageous)
  • Ability to deliver high-quality 10-minute consults (5–6 patients/hour)
  • Evidence-based, harm-reduction clinical judgement
  • Strong documentation and admin skills
  • Confidence with multiple digital platforms and tech troubleshooting
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a collaborative approach to patient care

Training:

Successful applicants must attend initial training Monday–Thursday during core business hours in their first week.
