Job Description

The User Acceptance Tester (UAT) for Contact Management & Authentication is responsible for validating that new features, enhancements, and system changes meet business requirements before deployment to production. This role partners closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Technology teams, Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions supporting customer contact management and authentication deliver a seamless and reliable experience for colleagues and customers.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience testing enterprise applications in an Agile environment. They are passionate about quality, enjoy identifying defects early, and help ensure successful product releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enhancements and releases supporting contact management and customer authentication capabilities.
  • Review business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional designs to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
  • Validate end-to-end business processes across multiple applications and platforms.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution using defect management tools.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Technology teams, and Operations to clarify requirements and resolve issues identified during testing.
  • Coordinate regression testing to ensure new functionality does not impact existing capabilities.
  • Verify production readiness by confirming all acceptance criteria have been met before deployment.
  • Support release activities, production validation, and post-implementation testing as needed.
  • Document test results, execution status, defects, and testing metrics for project stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, documentation standards, and quality assurance practices.
  • Advocate for the end-user experience by validating usability, workflow efficiency, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in User Acceptance Testing, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, or a related role.
  • Experience creating and executing manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience validating business requirements and ensuring solutions meet functional and operational needs.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing efforts simultaneously while meeting project timelines.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience testing customer servicing, contact management, CRM, or authentication platforms.
  • Knowledge of authentication technologies such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), identity verification, and access management.
  • Experience testing APIs, integrations, and end-to-end workflows across multiple enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with contact center technologies and customer servicing applications.
  • Experience supporting production releases and post-deployment validation.
  • Knowledge of SQL or reporting tools to validate test data.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or financial services environments.
  • ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester (CAT), or similar testing certification is a plus.
