Mirantis delivers open cloud infrastructure to top enterprises using Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes, Mirantis Container Cloud and other solutions based on open source technologies including: OpenStack, Kubernetes, Prometheus and many others. These solutions empower enterprise customers to take advantage of open source innovation with no vendor lock-in.

Release engineering team is in charge of product infrastructure including build, continuous integration and source code management (gerrit) services, docker registry etc. Release engineering team is looking for talented Intern CI/devops engineer with experience in systems integration, release engineering, and package development in both RPM and DEB format.

Responsibilities

• Work with other teams at Mirantis to provide recommendations and best practices for build and release pipelines.

• Setup and maintain Jenkins clusters.

• Connect git (Gerrit, Github) repository webhooks with Jenkins jobs.

• Create and maintain dashboards to show builds in flight

• Develop deterministic builds and triggering

• Enhance monitoring, logging and metrics gathering

• 1+ years of software engineering or system administration experience 

• Experience with Linux operating systems.

• Scripting skills (BASH or Groovy, Python, Ruby, etc.)

• Linux fundamentals and experience working with linux distributions.

• Communication skills, a sense of diplomacy, and a genuine eagerness to help others.

• Self-development skills

Nice to have

• Understanding of software development automation tools (Jenkins, Gerrit, etc.)

• Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, etc.)

• Experience with instrumenting and utilizing monitoring tools for determining a health status of a system (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
