Job Description

Oaks Cairns Hotel are looking for multiple enthusiastic and service-driven Bartender / Food & Beverage Attendants to join our vibrant team on a Part Time basis.

In this dual role, you’ll work across both the bar and restaurant floor, supporting smooth service during lunch and evening shifts. If you’re passionate about hospitality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, with flexibility required across seven days, including weekends and public holidays we’d love to hear from you.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional service to all guests across the restaurant and bar.

  • Taking and delivering orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Preparing and serving beverages to a high standard, maintaining bar cleanliness and stock levels.

  • Recommending menu items confidently, sharing your knowledge of food and beverage offerings.

  • Maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and resolving guest needs with professionalism and warmth.

Shift Details:

  • Rotating roster across Monday through to Sunday 
  • Shifts starting from 12.00pm (subject to change)
  • A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in a barista, café, restaurant or food and beverage role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and coffee equipment operation.
  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Additional Information

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience as a waitstaff, bartender, or all-rounder in a hospitality environment.

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Professional presentation and exceptional communication skills.
  • Reliability, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
