Job Description
We are seeking a responsible and energetic Wave Pool Instructor to oversee wave pool activities, ensure guest safety, and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will monitor pool operations, enforce safety regulations, assist guests, and create a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise wave pool activities and ensure all guests follow safety rules and operating procedures.
- Conduct safety briefings and explain wave pool guidelines to guests.
- Monitor swimmers and pool conditions continuously to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies.
- Assist guests entering and exiting the wave pool safely.
- Enforce height, age, and safety restrictions as per park policies.
- Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns.
- Perform routine inspections of wave pool areas, equipment, flotation devices, and safety signage.
- Coordinate with lifeguards, operations staff, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool decks and guest areas.
- Record incidents, maintenance concerns, and daily operational reports.
- Support special events, aquatic programs, and group activities when required.
- Deliver excellent guest service and maintain a positive atmosphere.
Qualifications
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in aquatic facilities, water parks, swimming instruction, or guest operations preferred.
- Lifeguard certification required or willingness to obtain before employment.
- CPR, First Aid, and water rescue certifications preferred.
- Strong swimming ability and knowledge of water safety procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay alert and respond calmly in emergency situations.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
