Job Description
The Engineering Coordinator supports the Engineering Department by managing administrative tasks, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring smooth communication between departments to maintain the resort’s facilities and infrastructure.
Coordination & Administration
- Receive and log maintenance requests (guest rooms, villas, public areas)
- Assign work orders to technicians and follow up on completion
- Maintain records of daily maintenance activities
- Updating the payroll attendance and coordination with People & Culture Department
Documentation & Reporting
- Update and manage:
- Work order systems
- Preventive maintenance schedules
- Equipment logs and service records
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the Chief Engineer
Inventory & Purchasing
- Monitor stock levels of spare parts and materials
- Coordinate purchase requests and track deliveries
- Maintain inventory records for engineering supplies
Communication
- Act as a link between engineering, housekeeping, front office, and management
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues quickly
Maintenance Support
- Assist in planning preventive maintenance schedules
- Track ongoing repair projects
- Ensure timely completion of engineering tasks
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and resort policies
- Maintain records related to inspections and certifications
- Support emergency response coordination
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Engineering / Facilities Management (preferred)
- 1–3 years experience in:
- Hotel engineering, OR
- Facilities maintenance, OR
- Administrative coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with resort operations and Engineering terminology is an advantage.
