As part of Minor Hotels, a global hospitality group with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, we are looking for a dynamic Manager of People & Culture to lead our people strategy and help shape an engaging and high-performance culture.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys partnering with leaders to build strong teams, develop talent, and create a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the People & Culture function for Avani Windhoek Hotel & Casino, ensuring alignment with Minor Hotels’ regional and global people strategies.
  • Provide strategic and operational HR leadership across all departments.
  • Drive initiatives that promote employee engagement, performance, and talent development.
  • Partner with department heads to support recruitment, workforce planning, and succession development.
  • Ensure compliance with Namibian labour legislation, company policies, and best HR practices.
  • Support managers with performance management, employee relations, and coaching.
  • Champion the Avani culture and ensure a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Lead payroll inputs, benefits administration, and HR reporting where required.
  • Promote strong communication, teamwork, and accountability across the hotel.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ HR experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, talent management, and HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Namibian labour legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
  • Experience working with HR systems and reporting tools will be advantageous.
